BACK HOME AGAIN IN INDIANA!
For better or worse, it's back home again in Jay County for the Marching Patriots! All in all, it was a safe trip - nobody honked, nobody skidded - but what about what your thoughts - what did you like, what didn't you like. Make yourself the band director - what would you do different. Please keep in mind that even though your band staff are considered by many to be demi-gods (especially Daddy V) we can't control the weather!

I wouldn't have changed a thing. It was an incredible trip that I will remember for my whole life. I want to thank the directors for putting this trip together. Like you said there is nothing you can do about the weather so I think that the trip was put together and managed perfectly.
ReplyDeleteNow, I understand that we had a schedule to go by, but I felt very rushed through the entire trip. Last year in Gatlinbueg it was layed back, and we all had fun and more time to goof off. Although, being on a bus with the same peole living with them and changing in front of them for four days I ended up feeling like more of a family than ever. This band family will grow, and we will miss the ones who leave the nest but I really think we all grew pretty close. Oh, "Mamma Mia!" was the absolute best part of the trip. I bought the CD at Virgin Records for 10 dollars (I know, it was a great buy) I listen to it daily and never grow tired of it. " Mamma Mia Here I go again My my how can I resist ya....."
ReplyDeleteI think the only thing that would have made the trip better is if we had strapped pontoons to the bottom of the busses before we left.
