On the Road Again.....with the Patriot Marching Band!

ADVICE FOR ROOKIES!

Many of our rookie band members have never been on a trip such as the one we are about to take. How 'bout some advice for them from our older members. How do you sleep on a bus? What should you bring on the bus? How about the morning after the long drive? Life in a motel room?

PLEASE USE BEFORE BOARDING THE BUS!

Let's help them out, veteran band travelers - especially you seniors who were on the trip to Florida! Send me your suggestions and I'll publish the best ones and give you the credit! Or how about your funniest trip story!

  1. Hey! All of you freshman.......if you look like crap the morning after the trip nobody cares. Newsflash....we all do! We all beg of you....PLEASE DO NOT USE THE BATHROOMS ON THE BUS!!!!!!!!! I can also tell you that you will want a small pillow and a light blanket for the trip. Do not use the hotel comforters, and it is best if you wash your hands after using the telephone and the remote as these hold the most germs. Other than that, have fun and try and get along with everybody. We're all in this together that is what makes this band soooo awesome.

  2. Respect the people on your bus. They may be polite the first few hours, but eventually all the gloves come off if you won't behave yourself.

For example, when everyone's silent and it's dark, odds are it's sleep time. Nothing's more annoying then having a cell phone go off or light up. People will throw things at you. It will not be pleasant . . .

Oh, and kudos on using Cranky Kong from Donkey Kong Country. Remember the classics folks. Believe it or not, there is gamage before Halo 2 and Guitar Hero 2 . . .
